Summit Reached

Tangled blankets couldn't hold me for long. I paced back to the rug, calculated the angle, and backed up an extra yard for proper acceleration. Sprint started. Sneakers gripped the hardwood, tore across the magazine ramp, and launched with double the kick. Cleared the edge cleanly this time. Landed dead-center on the firm sofa cushion with a satisfying soft thud. Bounced once, stayed on my feet, and surveyed the entire living room from up high. View is definitely better from the peak.
