A Morning Curtain Call

The bright morning glow against the living room window drew me straight up to the wide sill. Looking out, the big world seemed ready for a grand overture! Right beside the frame hung two thin white blind cords, each ending in a small plastic pull. One hung slightly crooked, disrupting the stage balance. I carefully took hold of the lower one, gave it an even tug until both pendants tapped together, and leveled them side by side. Now the morning stage is set in neat harmony!
