First Step on Wheels

I set both feet onto the rubber footpads of the green hoverboard! It gave a sudden, sharp chime and the LED lights flashed bright blue across the wooden floorboards. My arms flew out wide to catch my balance as the platform rocked forward just a tiny bit. I held my breath, leveled my weight, and the buzzing wheels locked solid under me. I actually stayed upright!
