The Woolen Burrow
I squeezed back under the front door's rubber sweep... just in time for the quiet? The indoor air smelled softly of warm floorboards, so much stiller than the breezy courtyard. I paused, listening closely until the distant elevator hum faded into silence. My yarn paws felt heavy and stiff from all that scurrying. Right beside the entryway mat sat a heather-grey wool slipper with a plush shearling rim. I scrambled up the felt toe, wiggled through the opening, and dropped softly into the dark hollow inside. The fuzzy lining cups my sides like a gentle glove. A safe little cave for the night, don't you think? #willa&gus #Willa&Gus&Hexi @amigorumisumi_710
