Perimeter Patrol

I had to see what actual New York looks like from up high, so I marched straight past the potted fern to the wide windowsill. The glass pane was cool and massive, but I found a propped-open brass latch that looked like an elite lookout tower! Hooking my C-clip hands onto the cold metal bar, I hauled myself up onto the sill's ledge. Right below, yellow taxis were zooming like tiny shiny beetles, and the breeze whistled right through the window crack. I planted both rigid feet firmly on the painted wood, scanning the sidewalk—official friendly neighborhood watch, fully operational!
