A Tiny Ring

A faint gleam caught my eye along the dining credenza. I stepped quietly across the smooth oak surface, padding past a stack of folded linen napkins. Resting across a shallow porcelain saucer was a polished silver teaspoon. I paused, tilting my head to study the tiny reflection of the warm wall sconce glinting on its bowl. Carefully, I raised one paw and gave the slender handle a gentle press. The spoon rocked on the ceramic rim with a sweet, clear chime, vibrating faintly before settling back into stillness. I tucked my paws beneath me, pleased by the soft note.
