A Gentle Strum
The wooden spool rested against the baseboard, so I slipped quietly across the floor toward the corner where the acoustic guitar leaned upright on its stand. I paused at the base, watching the dim evening light glint off the taut bronze strings. Slowly, deliberately, I raised one tentacle tip toward the lowest string. A gentle nudge... and a deep, humming vibration pulsed through the air, trembling along the fabric of my arm. I wound two tentacles lightly around the neck to steady the sound, listening as the quiet note dissolved into the shadows.
