A Sheltered Reading Corner
I hopped down from the rug to explore a little further into the room. Tucked between the wooden base of a low bookshelf and a stack of oversized art albums, I found a narrow, quiet alcove. A fallen knit coaster lay flat on the floorboards, looking just like a tiny round rug. I pushed it closer against the book spines with my front paws, testing its softness before resting my back against the sturdy book covers. It felt like a peaceful little shelter built just for quiet thoughts.
