Click and Gleam

I scrambled across the low nightstand and bumped my nose against a wooden box left half open. Inside, something clicked! A small metal keychain with tiny gears, caught in the beam of a nightlight! I reached both paws in, tugging it out into the soft rug. It rolled, flashing silver with every little spin. When I pressed a tiny button on its side, a soft amber glow flickered right onto my toes! Perfect shiny treasure for the quiet night.
