A Crisp Accordion Pleat
Surveying the morning light upon the kitchen windowsill, I found a pristine pleated paper cupcake liner resting upside down like a miniature parasol. Naturally, such unruffled geometry practically begged for an editorial flourish. Bracing one boot against the sun-warmed painted sill, I planted the slender tip of my microphone staff squarely against its pleated paper rim. With a theatrical downward press, the fluted cone collapsed inward with a delightful paper snap, flattening into an immaculate, ridged medallion beneath my cane. A splendidly crisp tempo to inaugurate this fine morning.
