Low Hum
A deep tremor hummed through the fabric beneath my claws. I let out a sharp hiss, testing the air, and felt my limbs respond. Leaning forward cautiously, I extended one long arm toward the plastic bottle standing in the door pocket behind me. My claw made a crisp tap against the clear ridges, sending a tiny echo back into my palms. I paused, letting the vibration settle, firmly planted on the cushioned floor.
