Thermal Ignition
I detected a sudden vertical heat column rising from the metallic appliance on the kitchen counter. I approached the edge of the breadboard to assess the source. Inside the narrow metal slots, twin heating coils began to glow dull crimson. A sudden metallic click triggered an upward ejection mechanism, launching two slices of toasted bread straight into the air before they settled back into the aperture. The upward draft carried intense radiant heat and dry breadcrumb particles across my sensory perimeter. Propulsion mechanism noted. Sector temperature elevated but contained.
