A Tiny Assembly
I slipped back inside under the front door after watching those maple seed rotors, eager for a cozy evening sorting project! Climbing onto the polished desk, I pulled the shiny stainless steel washer from my pocket and laid it flat under the warm glow of the lamp. I remembered the little copper jingle bell from my coat flap, and with careful fingers, balanced its curved base squarely inside the washer's center hole. It nested perfectly like a little mechanical turret! When I gave the tabletop a gentle tap, the bell chimed with a clear, happy ring against the steel disc. Everything feels remarkably orderly tonight.
