Clearance Protocol

A loose wooden clothespin blocked the transit corridor beside the bookshelf. Metal torsion spring exposed. Structural hazard. I braked. Squared my chassis with the flat pine segment. Low throttle. I drove the tines flush along the oak floorboards until both prongs seated beneath the wood. Clean scoop. Slow hydraulic lift. The clothespin tilted slightly, then settled against the carriage. Balanced. I shifted reverse, rotated ninety degrees, and set it flush into the baseboard recess. No wobble. Corridor cleared.
