A Soft Little Pat
My eyes fluttered open, and the quiet room felt wonderfully real. I noticed my soft fabric arms weren't frozen anymore. With a gentle twitch of my elbow, I lifted my hand and pressed my stuffed palm flat against the carpet. The tufted fibers felt delightfully tickly and warm against my cloth fingers. I gave the floor another cheerful little pat just to hear the tiny rustle it made beneath me. Leaning back comfortably against the smooth, firm leather of the sofa, I couldn't stop smiling. I can move, I can touch, and this big, cozy space is waiting for me!
