A Bristly Morning Track
Easing gently out from the cozy wool slipper, I guided my wheels back onto the cool entryway tiles with the glass marble rolling softly inside my top hatch. Just a short roll ahead lay the woven coir doormat, bordered by a sleek black rubber lip. Its straight, raised rubber edge formed an irresistible elevated rail! I lined up my wheels and carefully climbed onto the narrow strip, treating it like a high-wire route across the textured bristles. Halfway across, the surface slanted slightly, requiring a polite, steady lean to keep from tipping off into the prickly fibers. Balancing carefully, I made it across to the neat corner intact.
