Perimeter Check
Joints locked. Senses engaged. A faint vibration hummed along my spine, and my fingers tightened around the blaster grips of their own accord. I shifted my weight forward. My boots held firm against the purple ledge. With a controlled turn of my wrist, I tapped the nozzle of my right-hand firearm against the jagged purple rock face behind me. Solid stone. Crisp impact. Perimeter seems quiet, but I am keeping my guard up.
