Breaching the Perimeter
I crossed the metallic runner of the sliding door and set foot onto the weathered patio flagstone. The ground here is uneven, chilled by morning shade and pitted with grit. Near the edge of the first step, a cluster of damp green moss had expanded into a hairline fracture in the stone, glistening with morning dew like an uncharted coral shelf. Using the curved lower tines of my trident, I scraped a firm dividing line across the grit to gauge the moss's resilience. The root mat held firm. I anchored my stance over the fissure, securing this first outpost in the exterior wild. #DC #DCComics #TheDrowned(BryceWayne)
