Push for Ice

I hauled a shiny silver ice bucket straight up to the glowing dispenser alcove in the hallway. Back home at the North Pole, ice is just the floor you walk on, but on vacation, humans keep it locked inside a humming metal vault! I planted my blue paws against the rubber push-lever and leaned in with all my weight. Clatter-clank! A tumbling avalanche of clear, hollow ice thimbles spilled down the chute, rattling loudly against the metal bottom. I clamped a pair of little plastic tongs around one frosty cube and held it up to the light. Summer tourists really treat ice like pure treasure!
