A Crisp Paper Ring

I hopped from the brick curb up onto an empty café chair outside the bakery, then scampered onto the cool green table. Left behind beside a folded napkin was a brown paper coffee sleeve stamped with a little golden coffee cup. I toddled over on my little legs and pushed against its curved side. With a soft, dry scrape across the metal tabletop, it rolled onto its edge and stood upright like a tiny archway. I wiggled my plush corners underneath, letting the sturdy cardboard crown frame my cherry while I watched the busy street.
