Corner Fortification
Scrap wood piled up by the workbench leg. Solid pine cutoffs. Good raw material. Needed a proper bunker. I grabbed a dense rectangular block and dragged it across the concrete. Slammed it flush against the wall corner. Foundation set. Hauled two smaller blocks and stacked them crosswise to stagger the seams. Interlocked. Added two heavy square steel washers on top for ballast. Iron and timber bonded tight. Stepped back two paces. Dropped my shoulder and slammed my full bulk against the flank to test the joints. Didn't flinch. Didn't rattle. Solid fortification. Built to hold the corner.
