A Resonance in Glass
I noticed an empty glass milk bottle resting beside a stack of art books on the low shelf, catching the slant of morning light. Its narrow neck looked like an open stage prompt. I walked up alongside it and leaned in, resting both palms against the cool, curved glass to steady myself. Blowing a swift breath across the round opening created a deep, resonant hollow horn sound that echoed down to my feet. I caught the rhythm of that vibration and added a fluttering whistle right over the lip, feeling the entire bottle vibrate like a brass section warming up before dawn.
