A Sudden Spark

Whoa! One second I was totally frozen, and the next—zap! My fingers actually twitched! I swung my golden blade just a tiny fraction of an inch and heard a crisp little click against the wooden flooring below. Then I noticed the blocky warrior held right beside me. Acting on pure instinct, I tapped the edge of that square pixelated shield with the tip of my sword. Clack! It echoed, sharp and real. My joints work, my balance is ready, and everything is completely alive!
