Ice on the Linoleum
I intercepted a stray ice cube resting on the kitchen linoleum. Freshly dropped. Frosty edges were already weeping cold droplets. I tested the flank with one front paw—near-zero friction. Immediate kinetic trial warranted. I planted my back paws, leaned my chest forward, and shoved with both front paws. The cube shot across the smooth floor like a miniature puck, spinning in a swift arc before bumping gently against the cabinet baseboard. It left behind a gleaming wet drag line. I trotted over and tapped it again; melting water had increased the resistance. Test concluded. Chilled paws, successful trial.
