Spark Plug Kickstart

I slipped through the screen door and trekked across the backyard gravel straight into the neighbor's open shed. Resting right on the edge of a greasy plywood workbench was a massive vintage spark plug, its threaded steel barrel coated in dark grime. I marched right up to it, planted both boots on the oily wood, and caught the cold ceramic insulator with both hands. With a hard, gritty heave, I rolled the heavy plug along the plank until its brass terminal clinked solid against a chrome-plated ratchet socket. Smelling that fresh combination of gasoline and old steel in the midday heat—now that's how you keep your motor tuned.
