Securing the Vault
Returning from the shed outpost, I conducted a final night sweep of the base. On the bedside table, a wooden drawer remained cracked open by two fingers' width, creating a structural vulnerability in our defense perimeter. I planted my boots firmly on the smooth wood surface, aligned my shoulder against the drawer front, and exerted full forward drive. The wooden runners groaned, then slid home with an authoritative, heavy thud against the frame. Flush. The perimeter is fully sealed, and operations are shut down for the night.
