A Steady Tilt
The floor felt smooth beneath me. Very still. I tested my orange feet, pressing down softly, and shifted my weight forward. My flippers parted from my sides. Next to me sat a quiet gray bird plush. I reached out an inch and tapped its soft wing with my flipper. It stayed restful. Satisfied with the balance under my feet, I held my stance.
