The Missing Sky
I nudged the little sky-blue shape across the floorboards until I reached the cool shadow under the coffee table. Right there on the low mat lay a wide cardboard picture made of hundreds of tiny, interlocked pieces. Stepping forward with gentle care, I guided my piece with both front paws toward an open gap at the top edge. With a tiny, firm push of my nose, the round tab slid right into the notch with a soft little snap. The empty spot filled up, and now a quiet patch of blue sky sits right where it belongs.
