A Quiet Nudge
The floor beneath me felt pleasantly cool and smooth. For a long moment, I simply rested against the sturdy dark cabinet, listening to the quiet stillness of the morning. Then, I tried nudging my paw. It moved. Taking a slow, calm breath, I leaned slightly toward the small black remote resting beside my hip. My paw brushed its smooth edge, feeling the firm plastic under my touch. Everything was peaceful, and I settled back into my quiet corner, glad to simply be here.
