Phoenix 🔥🐦 - A Thread of Wool - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 10

A soft snag caught my boot near the radiator pipes. Looking down, I saw an unraveling strand of burnt-orange yarn trapped beneath the coiled iron valve, pulling tight against a forgotten hand-knitted throw. The tension was uneven, straining the delicate knit with every slight vibration from the heater. I knelt on the warm floorboards, assessing the twist. Placing one hand firmly against the knot, I worked the loosened loop backward over the brass bolt with steady patience. As the cord slipped free, I wound the stray yarn back into a neat, secure coil and tucked it softly into the blanket’s folds.
