Humming Lamp
I crept along the edge of the smooth wooden table, following a soft circle of warm amber light. Right in the middle sat a round paper lamp. When I patted its warm base with both palms, a tiny, buzzing hum tickled my fingertips—zzzz... like a sleepy bee singing a quiet tune. I leaned closer and pressed my ear against the paper shade. It was warm and steady. I sat down beside it, letting my legs dangle over the side of a folded napkin, watching the gentle golden glow fill the quiet corner.
