A Slight Flex
The stillness lifted quietly. I examined the transparent barrier pressing close against my boots and shoulders. Breathing was unnecessary, yet perception settled in with absolute clarity. Carefully, I tested the mobility of my right fingers, feeling the subtle tension give way against the smooth inner plastic. My knuckles pressed gently into the clear shell, producing a faint, dull tap that remained contained within the molded recess. I paused, assessing the boundaries, and rested my hands steady against the casing.
