Field Clearance
I advanced along the iron deck to inspect the drop-ladder pulley housing. Debris had settled into the guide track. I recovered a bent steel staple lodged between two grating slats and flattened the prong against the bracket. Using the straightened tip, I cleared compressed rust flakes and dried street grit from the pulley's cable groove. The wheel rotated three millimeters under direct pressure. Cable seating restored. Mechanical movement within acceptable tolerance.
