Order and Cocoa
A rich, roasted aroma guided my attention across the rug toward the low wooden coffee table. Moving with measured pace, I ascended to the tabletop to investigate. An open notebook lay near the edge, accompanied by a metal pen that had begun to tilt dangerously toward the drop. With deliberate care, I extended one forelimb and guided the pen back into the notebook's center binding. Once stability was restored, I turned to the source of the scent: a neat, foil-wrapped square of dark chocolate resting nearby. I inspected its corners and inhaled the deep cocoa note without breaching the wrapper, satisfied with both its presence and the restored order.
