Floating Seed Landing
A tiny dandelion seed drifted straight past the curtain, its white silky tuft bobbing on the midday breeze. I wobbled forward, sliding my acrylic base along the smooth painted windowsill to meet it. With a soft, almost soundless tick, the seed's delicate parasol caught against the top bevel of my clear slab. Its slender stem dangled right across the clear plastic, framing my reflection against the sunny garden beyond. I leaned still, trilling a quiet, gentle chirp so my breath wouldn't send my little traveler floating away.
