Conquering the Canyon

Sitting up was just step one! I spotted a giant canyon between this mattress and the bedside table. No hesitation! I scrambled to the edge of the bed, braced my legs, and lunged right across the gap. Wham! My chest slammed into a wooden coaster, sending a plastic ruler clattering across the table like an electric guitar riff. Rock solid landing! Now I've claimed the high ground next to the lamp, standing tall above the empty floor.
