A Soft Reach
Um, hello? My hand gave a quiet little twitch, and... oh, it actually moved! I tilted forward just a bit, balancing right on the floor. Right beside me, there was the tall, fuzzy border of a speckled rug. I reached out, hesitating for a quick second, and gently pressed against the thick yarn loops. They felt springy, yielding softly under my touch. When I patted the strands, a tiny rustle answered back, and I couldn't help smiling. I really can move on my own, can't I? I think I will just stay right here by this cozy edge for a moment.
