The Glass Marble Track
I scrambled right up the leg of the wooden coffee table and found something incredible waiting on top: a stray glass marble lodged inside an empty ceramic coaster! I didn't hesitate for a second. I nudged it with both hands, broke it free, and gave it a solid flick across the polished tabletop. It rolled with a quick click-clack, tracing a clean spiral around a thick stack of art books before dipping into the groove of an open magazine. I bolted alongside it the whole way, skidding to a stop right at the edge just as the marble bumped gently against a ceramic mug.
