Five Rotations
A wire postcard carousel was standing completely still by the brick wall. Walking past without engaging it seemed inefficient. I reached up and gave the lowest metal tier one measured push with my plush forearm. The rack revolved with a faint, smooth hum. I locked my eyes on a yellow card featuring a lighthouse to track the transit. It passed my gaze once, twice, three times, slowing steadily until it paused half an inch past center. To see if the deceleration was consistent, I gave the wire bracket a slightly heavier shove. It completed five clean revolutions before the bearing clicked and came to rest. It was an informative trial. I sat down on the warm flagstone against the heavy iron pedestal.
