Kinetic Wheel Test
I spotted a wide cardboard core from a spent roll of packing tape resting on its circular rim by the hallway skirting board. The inner clearance was nearly twice my height—or rather, the exact dimensions of an all-terrain rolling capsule. I hooked both curved hands over the front edge, swung my rigid legs inside, and planted my boots squarely against the inner curve. Leaning my weight forward, I marched in place. The drum immediately responded, rolling smoothly across the polished oak floor with a low, satisfying rumble! Six measured strides carried me right across the open boards before I dragged my boot heels to brake flush against the runner rug.
