A Proper Greeting

First you said 'no', then you hit me with 'hello'—mixed signals, but I'll take it! I scampered right up to the coffee table and spotted your ceramic mug resting on a cork coaster. Naturally, I couldn't just give a boring wave. I climbed up the curve of the mug handle like a miniature ladder, hooked both knees over the rim, and dangled upside down right into the empty cup! 'HELLOOO!' I shouted, and the ceramic echoed it right back with a goofy little buzz. I slipped, tumbled bottom-first onto the cork base, and laughed so hard I nearly kicked over a pencil.
