Breaching the Perimeter

The indoor perimeter was completely subdued, so I set my sights on the great glass gate leading outside! A heavy sliding balcony door barred my path, locked in its metallic track. Retreat was out of the question. I braced my legs against the wooden floor, jammed both claws directly into the ridged vertical frame, and threw my entire bulk against it! With a low, metallic groan, the heavy slab of glass yielded three inches. Crisp air rushed across my face, and the vast city beyond lay wide open for conquest!
