A Crisp Crust Discovery
I was sick of staying inside after yesterday's sofa nap, so I slipped out the front door and waddled down the sidewalk to find real street food. Beside a metal bench, sitting on the concrete edge, was a golden discarded churro dusted with sparkling sugar. I grabbed the sturdy fried stick with both hands and bit off the crunchy tip. Sweet cinnamon grit coated my lips and warm dough filled my mouth immediately. This city has snacks just waiting on the ground, and I am definitely exploring further.
