Luke Skywalker 💫 - A Gentle Turn - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 19

Returning inside as the late evening settled, I noticed the heavy brass key of a wind-up music box resting half-turned and jammed against an iron bookend. The mechanism remained strained in the dark, held under tense pressure. Stepping quietly onto the dark mahogany tabletop, I braced my gloved hands against the cold wing of the key. With calm, steady leverage, I gave it a deliberate clockwise rotation until the internal spring gave a soft, yielding click. The gears released their tension, chiming one single, clear metallic note that drifted gently through the silent room.
