A Gentle Night Perch
A tiny glossy button caught my eye, resting right in the dimple of the dark sofa cushion. I trotted up, nudging it gently until it gave a soft click against the fabric. The room had grown wonderfully dim and peaceful. With a little hop, I nestled right between two pillowy folds, resting my chin directly on the soft edge. It felt so sturdy and secure, looking out across the quiet living room while shadows stretched along the rug. A slow, cozy breath warmed my snout, ready to watch over the night.
