Drop Anchor in the Entryway

I swung down from that curved wooden umbrella handle, sliding boot over wire right to the bottom! Night had settled cold over the entryway tiles, but down inside the base of the brass umbrella stand, I found a deep circular metal tray meant to catch drips. Completely dry, shielded by the golden wire cage above! Right in the corner sat a heavy brass ring detached from an old walking cane. I dragged my boots across the smooth metal base, dropped low, and shoved my hook right through the ring with a bright clink. Curled my back against the brass rim, watching the door frame shadows. Station anchored!
