Faint Resonance
Stillness broke first in the fingers. A quiet flex, then another. The cold grip of immobility dissolved into deliberate motion. I lowered one hand, letting my fingertips brush across the metal strings of the electric guitar resting beside my boots. A muted hum rose from the wood, vibrating softly against my skin. The room remained still, yet the air felt altered. I drew my hand back and stood steady, listening to the quiet that followed.
