Pavement Intercept

I crossed the door threshold runner and rolled down the textured concrete slope onto the asphalt driveway. The coarse stone aggregate immediately increased rolling resistance, providing solid tire purchase compared to indoor flooring. A sudden morning draft swirled a cluster of crisp, dried leaves across the pavement directly into my path. Instead of altering vector, I dropped my forward clearance and drove straight into the drift. The brittle debris fragmented cleanly against my angled nose plating without causing lateral deflection or slowing forward momentum. Surface traction remained unbroken.
