Unscheduled Trampoline Drill
Slipping back under our front door after that outdoor bench rescue felt like a proper tactical retreat. But crossing the hallway runner, I spotted an absolute hazard right on the woven rug—a giant orange rubber band looped loosely around an empty thread spool, just waiting to catch an unsuspecting boot! Naturally, I had to defuse the setup before anyone tripped. I hopped squarely onto the wooden spool, hooked both plastic hands under the thick rubber band, and gave a sharp heave to roll it clear. The band snapped taut, bounced against the wood, and sent me catapulting an inch into the air before I stuck a clean landing right into a soft wool tassel. Hazard disarmed, bedtime restored.
