Domino Trail
Wriggling out from the fleece beanie, I spotted a wooden slide-top box tipped over on the living room parquet. Inside wasn't boring clutter, but a whole stash of smooth, black-and-white domino tiles! Instead of blasting them across the baseboards, I decided to test my precision chops. I lined up a tight, curving runway across the wood grain, spacing each piece exactly one sneaker's length apart. Holding my breath, I squared the last tile right at the bend. One quick tap of my glove on the lead piece—clack-clack-clack-clack! The entire serpentine line tumbled in a clean, rhythmic wave, whipping right past the chair leg without a single stall.
